**State Government Identifies Areas Prone to Atrocities Against SC and ST Communities in Madhya Pradesh**

*Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh):* The state government has issued a notification highlighting specific areas where Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities are facing maximum atrocities. This move aims to strengthen measures to prevent such crimes and ensure the safety and rights of these vulnerable groups.

Acknowledging that certain regions of Madhya Pradesh are more susceptible to atrocities against SC and ST members, the government has taken this proactive step under the provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, along with its accompanying rules.

### Declaration of Identified Areas

In its recent order, the state government has declared 63 police stations across 23 districts as Identified Areas. These areas include approximately 100 villages and wards where intensified enforcement of the law will be carried out to safeguard SC and ST members.

Special focus will be directed towards these designated police stations to monitor and prevent atrocities. Additionally, enhanced surveillance and stringent implementation of the Act will be maintained to protect the rights and safety of the communities concerned.
