If you feel out of your league, you’ll now have the option to voluntarily decrease your Depth ranking by one level. This provides a way to recalibrate your challenge to a more manageable level.
Moreover, the update introduces rank loss protection to prevent players from dropping ranks immediately after a loss once they reach Depth level 3. Players who are matched against opponents two Depth levels above them also won’t lose rank if they lose, making the ranked experience fairer and less punishing.
