**Flight Services Connecting Solapur to Mumbai and Bengaluru to Commence from October 15**
In good news for Solapur residents, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol announced on Friday that flight services connecting Solapur to Mumbai and Bengaluru are set to take off on October 15.
“The wait for Solapurkars is over. Regular passenger flights will start from Solapur Airport on both the Solapur-Mumbai and Solapur-Bengaluru routes from October 15. This double gift to Solapur on the auspicious occasion of Navratri is a big step towards convenient, fast, and modern transportation,” Mohol wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The new service will be officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai on October 15.
“With this flight service, Solapurkars will get direct and fast air connectivity with the state’s financial capital, Mumbai, as well as the industrial hub of South India, Bengaluru. This new service will be of immense convenience to traders, entrepreneurs, students, and devotees,” he added.
### Flight Schedule Details
The flights will operate four days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
– **Solapur to Mumbai:** Departure at 12:55 pm
– **Mumbai to Solapur (return):** Departure at 2:45 pm
– **Bengaluru to Solapur:** Departure at 11:10 am
– **Solapur to Bengaluru:** Departure at 4:15 pm
### Background on Solapur Airport
Solapur Airport was renovated at a cost of Rs 60 crore in September 2024 and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite the upgrade, few airlines have operated flights from the airport so far.
Currently, the airport has one flight route to Goa, operating four days a week and run by the airline Fly91. Initially, Fly91 planned to launch flights to both Goa and Mumbai from Solapur in December 2024; however, the Mumbai launch was postponed.
Finally, in June 2025, Fly91 inaugurated its flight service from Solapur to Goa, marking a growing aviation presence at the airport.
With the upcoming launch of regular flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru, Solapur’s connectivity is set to improve significantly, boosting convenience for travelers and supporting the local economy.
