Among the distinguished attendees were President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Pete Hegseth, Megyn Kelly, Vice President J.D. Vance, Donald Trump Jr., and numerous family members and friends.
The religious service began with bagpipes and the singing of the National Anthem. Various religious and political leaders have since delivered heartfelt speeches. President Trump arrived in Arizona shortly after the service commenced.
### Elon Musk Shares His Thoughts
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk shared that he felt “honored” to attend the memorial. He noted, “Every seat in this giant arena that isn’t roped off for security is packed to the ceiling. Honored to be here. All for Charlie Kirk.”
### Super Bowl-Level Security Measures
Security for the event rivals the preparations typically seen at a Super Bowl, a spokesman exclusively told RadarOnline.com. Police Administrator Jose Santiago explained, “We’ll be providing the same level of service that we provide for any other event. We’ll have officers patrolling the area and monitoring everything from outside the stadium.”
The Arizona Department of Public Safety has coordinated efforts with the Secret Service inside the venue, while the Glendale Police Department manages security outside. Santiago emphasized, “We’re going to handle this as we would any other major event. We obviously had a very successful Super Bowl when it was here, and we handle major events when it comes to concerts, sporting events, and that’s basically how we’ll handle this as well.”
State Farm Stadium, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, has previously hosted Super Bowls in 2008, 2015, and 2023. It also served as the kickoff venue for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in March 2023.
### Vigilance Outside the Venue
The Glendale Police Department remains on high alert to prevent disruptions to Kirk’s celebration of life. This caution comes after a 19-year-old man was arrested for vandalizing a memorial at Turning Point USA’s headquarters in Phoenix, where mourners have gathered since September 13.
Charlie Kirk founded the conservative youth political organization Turning Point USA in 2012. Fans have left flags, flowers, photos, and other memorabilia in his honor. The suspect, Ryder Corral, was seen kicking over vases and stomping on floral displays while wearing a black shirt bearing the same logo as Tyler Robinson — the alleged assassin.
### The Assassination of Charlie Kirk
Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 while speaking with students at a college rally. Prosecutors allege that Tyler Robinson fired a bolt-action rifle from the roof of a nearby campus building, striking Kirk in the neck. The rifle was later recovered with Robinson’s DNA on it.
At the time, Kirk had been just minutes into his event and was answering a question about transgender mass shootings moments before the shooting occurred. The father of two died shortly after being shot.
