**Massive Crime Control Drive Conducted in Indore**
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a bid to control crime across the city, the police carried out a massive combing patrol and checking drive from Saturday night to Sunday morning. During this extensive operation, about 1,220 criminals and antisocial elements were scrutinized, leading to legal action against 559 individuals.
More than 311 warrants—including permanent, arrest, and bail warrants—were served, and 121 summons were executed. Additionally, action was taken against 153 drunk drivers under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1985, and 23 cases of drinking in public places were registered.
The police also took preventive measures against 72 habitual criminals. A total of 661 others, including goons, thieves, robbers, and offenders under the NSA and district externment, were placed under watch to ensure enhanced security.

**Lift Mechanic Dies in Accident While Installing Lift in Bhanwarkuan**
A tragic accident claimed the life of 22-year-old Krishna Pal, a resident of Nandbagh Colony, while he was installing a lift in the Bhanwarkuan area, police reported on Sunday.
Krishna, who worked for a private company, was setting a gearbox in a three-story building in Palda when the machine suddenly fell on him. He sustained severe injuries, including heavy bleeding from his private parts. Although his colleague rushed him to the hospital in a company vehicle, Krishna succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Originally from Kotra, Bihar, Krishna lived in the city in a rented house with a friend. The police have initiated an investigation into the accident.

**Family of Raja Raghuwanshi Commemorates His Birthday Amidst Grief**
With heavy hearts, the family members of Raja Raghuwanshi—whose murder had garnered national attention—celebrated his birthday on Sunday by honoring his memory.
They placed his photo prominently, prayed for his soul, and distributed essentials to poor children in his name. Raja’s mother, Uma Raghuwanshi, shared that the family traditionally celebrated his birthday with joy, preparing his favorite dishes followed by giving essentials to the needy.
She poignantly said, “We never thought last year would be his final birthday with us. Sonam has destroyed our happiness.”
A cricket lover, Raja’s family is demanding strict punishment for all five accused in the case, including his wife Sonam and her lover, who are currently in jail. A detailed 790-page chargesheet has been filed in court.
Raja’s brother, Vipin, has also hired a lawyer in Shillong for legal guidance. The family continues to await justice and is seeking life imprisonment or the death penalty for the accused.
