MANILA, Philippines—The Gilas Pilipinas Girls’ campaign in the FIBA U16 Women’s Asia Cup came to an end after suffering an 82-50 defeat against China in the semifinal qualifiers.
Despite Tiffany Reyes’ heroic game-winner against South Korea on Wednesday that kept their hopes alive, the team was unable to maintain their momentum and fell short against the strong Chinese squad. This loss dashed their chances of progressing further in the tournament.
