According to the forecast, skies over Mumbai and its suburbs will continue to remain overcast with intermittent heavy rainfall. Certain pockets may even witness extremely heavy showers. Daytime temperatures are expected to stay below normal, with a maximum of 29°C and a minimum of 24°C.

The IMD has projected widespread rainfall across Konkan, Marathwada, and the ghat areas of Central Maharashtra from September 27 to 29. Officials have cautioned about isolated incidents of extremely heavy rainfall in some areas.
On September 28, a red alert has been issued for Raigad district and the ghat regions of Pune, where the threat of landslides and flash floods remains high. Other districts, including Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Nashik, Satara, and Kolhapur, will continue to be under an orange alert throughout this period.
