MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Bank’s (PNB) decision to exit its Bahrain operations and dissolve two of its units is seen as a strategic move to cut costs and concentrate on expanding its core business.
Ron Acoba, chief investment strategist at Trading Edge Consultancy, told the Inquirer that despite these changes, PNB could still effectively serve its customers and strengthen its main operations. This shift is expected to streamline the bank’s focus and improve overall efficiency in the long run.
