Every weapon stat in Battlefield 6 is important. For you to be able to customize a weapon to your preferred playstyle, you must know how each stat affects the handling of your gun. Misunderstand the stats and you will suffer the consequences during combat. Bend the stats to your will and watch as you tear through foes and receive lovely messages in all-chat. Battlefield 6 weapon stats explained There are nine weapon stats in Battlefield 6 that dictate how your weapons handle. In order to better customize your weapons, you need to know what these stats do and which attachments affect them. The following table outlines how each one works and how to adjust them. Battlefield 6 Weapon Stats Stat What it affects Attachments (Positive Effect) Hipfire The reticle bloom speed when firing full-auto from the hip. A better stat keeps the reticle tighter for longer. Laser and Flashlight for the Right/Left Accessory, some barrels. Precision The grouping of the bullet pattern and the accuracy of your shots. The higher the stat, the tighter the pattern. Brake Muzzles, Converter Muzzle, Underbarrel Grips, etc Control The movement of the reticle in any given direction after firing. A better stat makes it easier to adjust for recoil, especially when firing full-auto. Brake Muzzles, Underbarrel Grips, etc Mobility Your movement speed with the weapon equipped. Also affects your movement speed while firing (hipfire and ADS). The higher the stat, the faster you are while using the weapon. Blue Laser, Ribbed Stubby Underbarrel, Smaller Magazines, etc Fire Modes The ability to switch between fully automatic, burst, and single-shot. Not all guns have different firing modes. IE: Most Assault Rifles only have Single/Auto and most SMGs have all three. N/A Reload Time The time between initiating a reload and being able to fire again. The lower the number, the faster the reload speed. Mag Catch, Smaller Magazines, etc Muzzle Velocity The speed of your bullet. Slower bullets take longer to hit your target but deal more damage. The inverse is applies. Extended Barrel ADS Time In How long it takes to bring the scope up to your eye after pressing the aim button. The smaller the number, the quicker the speed. Stubby Grips Headshot Multiplier The damage of your headshot. Take the body shot damage and multiply it by this number to get your headshot damage, rounded up. Hollow Point & Synthetic Ammunition The first four stats, Hipfire, Precision, Control, and Mobility, are the main ones you will likely focus on when selecting attachments. Which stats to prioritize Weapon customization in Battlefield 6 is an inherently personal experience. However, there are some things to keep in mind, at least when you’re deciding which attachments to slap onto your weapons. Here’s a quick look at the four main stats: Hipfire: Usually only necessary on things like SMGs and Shotguns. This typically goes hand-in-hand with Mobility. Precision and Control can also be useful here. Precision: This is tied almost inextricably to Control. It’s rare for you to be able to affect one without the other. Any weapon with a high rate-of-fire can benefit from better precision: ARs, SMGs, LMGs, etc. This will typically shrink the upper portion of a weapon pattern lower toward the center off your reticle. Control: Again, if you target Control you will more often also target Precision. This is important for any weapon with a high recoil or high rate-of-fire. A better stat means you don’t need to work as hard to keep the reticle on-target. A low Control stat just means you need to move the mouse or stick more to adjust for the gun’s movement when firing. Mobility: Mainly useful for run-and-gun builds. Consider this on your SMGs and Shotguns, but only if you plan to be moving a lot. There is minimal need for this on ARs, though it can be useful if you do a lot of strafing during a firefight. As for the other five stats, those are still important, albeit to a lesser extent. You have no control over which weapons have different firing modes, but you can switch between them in-game using the appropriate button (B key on PC). Reload Time seems to only be affected by class effects and the Mag Catch, and smaller magazines. It’s not likely worth investing the points here instead of elsewhere. Muzzle Velocity, ADS Time In, and Headshot Multiplier are all a bit more important. If you’re sniping, Muzzle Velocity will aid in your ability to hit extremely long-range shots. ADS Time In is also critical for those that thumb their noses at hipfiring. You want a snappy zoom. Headshot Multiplier is a delicious boon if you can aim well. It shaves off a few milliseconds to the time-to-kill, which is especially useful when cleaning up foes.
