Letter: Isles lose piece of history with sunk Falls of Clyde

I am heartbroken to see our Falls of Clyde being taken out to sea and sunk. How do you let go of a treasure like that? How do the historic memories of the sugar trade between the mainland and our green fields become forgotten?

How can you explain to a young child what a four-mast ship even looks like? They have Pearl Harbor. That is good, but we have lost history and that is sad.
