How to Get Ralts and Its Evolutions in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Pokémon Legends Z-A features a variety of iconic critters to catch, with the Ralts line also returning. First introduced in Generation 3, this Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon and its subsequent forms have been a staple pick in all the series entries ever since. It evolves into Kirlia, which can either evolve into Gardevoir or Gallade depending on the Pokémon’s gender. Here’s everything you need to know about obtaining Ralts and its evolutions in Pokémon Legends Z-A.

How to Get Ralts in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Unlike many Pokémon, Ralts is not found in the Wild Zone areas of the game. Instead, it is a rare spawn around the open world of Lumiose City. The earliest locations where you can find Ralts are Vern Sector 4 and Magenta Sector 7. Since it will be around level 11-12, it is very easy to catch.

Alternatively, one of the Mystery Gift Pokémon being handed out for free by The Pokémon Company is a Ralts holding a Gardevoirite. This special Ralts can be redeemed online in the game for free until February 28, 2026.

How to Get Kirlia in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Kirlia is the evolution of Ralts when it reaches level 20. Like Ralts, Kirlia is also a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon. It is not found in any wild location, so players must evolve it from Ralts. When your Ralts reaches level 20, you can evolve it into Kirlia directly from the menu screen.

How to Get Gardevoir in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Gardevoir is the third and final evolution form of Ralts, obtained by evolving Kirlia at level 30. It maintains the Psychic/Fairy typing.

Alternatively, you can find an Alpha Gardevoir in Wild Zone 20, which is the only area in the game where this form spawns. Alpha Pokémon are quite strong, so only an end-game team will likely be able to take it on.

Offering a Gardevoirite to hold allows Gardevoir to Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir, one of the many returning Mega Evolutions from Pokémon X & Y. The Gardevoirite can be obtained in various ways. The easiest method is through the Mystery Gift Ralts mentioned earlier. Otherwise, it can be purchased for 240 Mega Shards at the Quasartico Inc. headquarters once you have beaten Main Mission 24.

How to Get Gallade in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Gallade differs from its previous forms as a Psychic/Fighting-type Pokémon. It is an alternate evolution of Kirlia and can only be obtained by evolving a male Kirlia using a Dawn Stone.

The Dawn Stone is a rare item that becomes available for purchase at the Stone Emporium for 3,000 Pokédollars after completing Main Mission 39. It can also be received as a reward for completing Side Mission 90.

Additionally, an Alpha Gallade variant can be found in Wild Zone 20, alongside other possible wild Pokémon spawns. If Gallade does not spawn, teleport away and then return, repeating this process until it appears. Like Alpha Gardevoir, Alpha Gallade will be over level 60, making the battle challenging without a well-prepared team.
