Pokemon fans will definitely want to add the Kanto starters—Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle—to their Pokédex. These are some of the most famous and beloved Pokémon ever, and the good news is that getting your hands on one of them in *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* is very easy.
### How to Get the Kanto Starters in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
You won’t have to play *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* for too long before you can add your favorite Kanto starter to your team. After you reach Rank W, you will receive a call from Mable on your Rotom phone. She will ask you to visit her at the Pokémon Research Lab located at the southern end of Vernal Avenue.
Make your way there, and when you enter the Director’s Office, turn left. You’ll see the three Kanto starters waiting for you. Interact with any of them to speak with Mable, and you’ll be able to choose whichever one you like.
I personally opted for Squirtle because, well, he is the greatest of all Pokémon, but feel free to pick your favorite or simply fill a gap in your party.
### How to Get the Other Two Starters
Now, you might be wondering how to obtain the other two Kanto starters. To do that, you will need to play through the entire campaign. Once you complete it, you will gain access to Wild Zone 20.

Don’t feel pressured to rush through the campaign. There are plenty of different Pokémon to catch along the way, and you will need a lot of patience if your plan is to catch them all.
