Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release date for *Task: The Complete First Season*, offering fans a chance to own the critically acclaimed crime drama series led by Mark Ruffalo. This announcement comes just over a week after the series concluded its 7-episode run on HBO.
In a previous interview, creator Brad Ingelsby expressed openness to the possibility of continuing the series. “If people respond to *Task* and keep responding to *Task*, I’d love to tell more stories about this place, because I love writing about this place,” he said. “I do feel like I have more stories to tell.”
The first season of *Task* will be available for purchase on Blu-ray and DVD starting April 21, 2026. The home video release will also include exclusive behind-the-scenes content for each episode, providing an in-depth look into the making of the series.
Since its debut, *Task* has earned a Certified Fresh rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 79 reviews, highlighting the strong critical acclaim and audience appreciation the show has garnered.
