## What’s New with Path of Exile 3.27: Keepers of The Flame?
Aside from the introduction of asynchronous trade—which is arguably the most game-changing addition to Path of Exile’s league economy—*Keepers of The Flame* brings the focus back to the Breach mechanic.
Long story short, new shrine-like defense objectives can now spawn inside Breaches. A new league NPC will appear, tasked with gradually destroying these shrines while you fend off hordes of enemies. Additionally, the Breach portal now includes a boss encounter, along with the addition of a full-fledged new Hive City area.
But that’s not all. There’s also the new **Grafting** mechanic and the **Genesis skill trees**, which offer various new offensive and defensive tools that will shape this league’s builds.
If that wasn’t enough, *Keepers of The Flame* also introduces **Bloodline Ascendancy trees**, providing even more unique build opportunities.
