Google Partners with Polymarket and Kalshi to Integrate Predictive Market Data into Google Finance
Google has announced a new partnership with predictive markets companies Polymarket and Kalshi. This collaboration will enable Google Finance to integrate the technology and data from Polymarket and Kalshi into its search features, providing users with real-time odds and information about future market events.
According to a press release published today on Google’s newsroom website, the partnership aims to enhance Google Finance by incorporating predictive models and market data directly into search results. Users will be able to ask speculative questions and receive answers based on market probabilities.
For example, Google shared: “Just ask something like ‘What will GDP growth be for 2025?’ directly from the search box to see current probabilities in the market and how they’ve changed over time.”
The rollout of prediction market data will begin over the coming weeks, initially available to Google Labs users.
This move is particularly notable given Polymarket’s recent presence in the news. While the platform offers valuable insights by allowing users to check odds and predictions, it has also faced scrutiny. Several authorities worldwide have accused Polymarket of functioning as a gambling platform.
In the United States, Polymarket was under investigation by the Department of Justice until the end of President Trump’s second term. The investigations were ultimately dropped without new charges being filed.
With this partnership, Google is bringing an innovative approach to how market data and speculative forecasts are accessed, potentially changing the way users gain insight into economic and financial trends.
