Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia appeared on *The View* this week and surprised everyone with how friendly and calm she was. The Republican lawmaker talked with the show’s hosts on Tuesday and kept things polite the whole time. She even said some critical things about her own party but did it in a nice way.

However, one of the hosts thinks Greene might not be showing her true self. According to Fox News, Sunny Hostin said she believes Greene is just acting differently because she has bigger plans for her political career. Hostin discussed the interview on the show’s *Behind the Table* podcast.

“I don’t think she’s changed. I did ask her, ‘Are we seeing an evolution?’ And she specifically, I think, responded, ‘No, I’m the same person,’” Hostin said. “And so I think at a big age, in my experience, people don’t change, but they may behave differently, because they want something.”

Hostin suggested that Greene may be behaving differently because she wants something bigger—perhaps running for the Senate or even president. The nicer behavior seen during the interview was likely part of a strategy, not a real transformation.

Some recent news reports have speculated that Greene is considering a presidential run in 2028. Greene responded to these claims on X, calling the story “baseless” and stating that she just wants to focus on doing her current job and passing bills.

During the Tuesday interview, Hostin remarked that Greene seemed very different from what she had expected. Greene reminded her that this was their first time meeting and that Hostin had only seen short clips and news headlines about her before.

Hostin even joked that it seemed like Greene was now on the political left. Greene quickly denied this, emphasizing that she remains loyal to her voters.

“Oh, no, nothing has changed about me. I am staying 100% true to the people that voted for me and true to my district,” Greene said.

She also expressed appreciation for how the hosts shared their different ideas in a nice and professional way. Greene said the country needs more conversations like this one.

A lot of people expected Greene to come on the show and start arguments, but she chose not to.

“I think that all of us here are doing a great job of exchanging our ideas and things that we believe in, and we’re doing it in a very professional and kind way and, in my opinion, I think we need more of that in America,” the Republican continued.
