**Clermont Gears Up for Veterans Day Celebrations: Parade, Tribute, and More**

The city of Clermont is striking up the band and preparing for extensive Veterans Day celebrations as the Central Florida town gears up for a day filled with events honoring America’s heroes.

This year’s Annual Veterans Day Parade and Tribute Ceremony will take place on Saturday, three days before the formal Veterans Day holiday. Festivities will be held at the Highlander Building & Pavilion, located at 330 Third St. in Clermont, with activities scheduled throughout the day.

Several veterans’ organizations and Clermont Main Street businesses have come together to host the event for veterans and their families.

**Event Highlights**

The celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. with the parade start at Blessed Sacrament Church. Parade participants will march down Montrose Street, traveling into downtown Clermont, just west of the city center.

“Veterans Day is a time for all Americans to pause, reflect and honor those who have stood in defense of our nation,” said Robert Mock, a 28-year U.S. Navy veteran and member of the South Lake Florida Base of U.S. Submarine Veterans.

Clermont Mayor Tim Murry, himself a 22-year military veteran, will serve as this year’s grand marshal. Mayor Murry will deliver opening remarks during the Veterans Tribute Ceremony, taking place at noon at the Highlander Pavilion. The ceremony will include patriotic music, an “Echo Taps” rendition, and an honor guard rifle salute.

“Clermont’s veterans are a source of pride and inspiration,” said Mayor Murry. “This community is grateful for their courage, sacrifice, and enduring service to our nation.”

**Fun for All Ages**

In addition to the official ceremonies, the day’s festivities will feature a car show with judging for awards, beginning at 2 p.m. A play zone for kids will be available, ensuring fun for families throughout the event. The celebration will also honor Clermont’s first responders.

Attendees can participate in activities such as raffles, enjoy food trucks, and explore various informational displays. All proceeds from the day’s events will benefit Clermont’s Veterans and First Responder Memorial.

Join Clermont in honoring those who have served and continue to serve our country, and enjoy a memorable day of community spirit and gratitude.
