The Boston Police Department (BPD) recently announced another targeted enforcement operation focusing on illegally operated scooters and mopeds across the city.
“The initiative was organized in response to ongoing public safety concerns regarding the use of these vehicles, which have been linked to motor vehicle violations and, in some cases, violent crimes,” the department stated.
This latest effort saw officers seize nine mopeds in the Hyde Park neighborhood, alongside issuing numerous citations and summonses for various motor vehicle violations.
