The Buffalo Bills will face off against the Miami Dolphins in a Week 10 AFC East matchup on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately for quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills offense, they will be without one of their starting wide receivers: Joshua Palmer.
Palmer, dealing with knee and ankle issues, was listed as questionable throughout the Bills’ week of practice, with limited participation in Thursday and Friday’s sessions. Although the veteran wide receiver took part in pregame warmups at Hard Rock Stadium, he was ultimately ruled out for the game.
“Bills WR Josh Palmer, questionable with an ankle injury, is out today. He worked out pregame to try, but wasn’t quite there yet,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday.
The Bills signed Palmer to a three-year, $36 million deal before the 2025 season. Prior to joining Buffalo, the former third-round draft pick spent his first four NFL seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. Through six games this season, Palmer has recorded 14 catches for 234 yards.
He ranks as the Bills’ third-leading wide receiver, trailing only Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman—both of whom will be called upon to step up their production in Palmer’s absence.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid, now in his third year, has been Allen’s favorite target so far in the 2025 season, hauling in 27 catches for 411 yards and four touchdowns.
Additional wide receiver options for Buffalo include Tyrell Shavers, Curtis Samuel, and Elijah Moore.
The Bills enter Week 10 with a 6-2 record, fresh off a Week 9 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. As the reigning AFC East champions, Buffalo currently holds second place in the division, trailing Drake Maye and the New England Patriots.
