Hard Rock Tejon is set to open this week just off Interstate 5 near Bakersfield, marking an exciting new addition to the Kern County community of Mettler. The first phase of the casino will offer 24-hour gaming and dining options, providing visitors with nonstop entertainment.

According to an announcement by Hard Rock International in partnership with the Tejon Indian Tribe, the casino’s official opening is scheduled for Thursday, November 13. Located near the I-5 and Highway 99 split, Hard Rock Tejon will feature a 150,000-square-foot gaming floor at launch. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of table games as well as more than 2,000 slot machines. Dining options will include popular establishments such as the Hard Rock Cafe.

Looking ahead, the second phase of the project will introduce a hotel complete with a pool and spa, along with a live entertainment venue to further enhance the guest experience. However, no official date has been announced for this phase of the development.

Hard Rock Tejon is the second Hard Rock casino in California. The first opened in Yuba County, approximately 30 miles north of Sacramento, in 2019. That location is currently planning an expansion that will include a water park and a rodeo arena, promising even more attractions in the future.
