NFL Suspends Buccaneers Running Back for Six Games

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Josh Williams has been given a significant punishment by the NFL. According to multiple reports, the rookie has been suspended for six games due to a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy.

Adam Schefter reported the news and noted that Williams will be eligible for reinstatement on Tuesday, December 22. This date follows the Buccaneers’ Week 16 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Williams joined the Buccaneers in the 2025 season as an undrafted rookie. He played college football at LSU from 2019 to 2024, where he amassed 1,494 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns during his four-year collegiate career.
