Say what you want about cats and dogs being mortal enemies, but there is just too much adorable proof online that begs to differ.
Take, for example, a cat named River. This feline is best friends with a senior dog named Oakley. Once their human started giving Oakley daily massages, River quickly took an interest.
River was always watching and comforting Oakley during these sessions. Since the massages were for physical therapy, they didn’t always feel very good. River could sense the discomfort in his old friend and seemed to say to their human, “Move aside, you’re doing it wrong!”
Now, River tends to Oakley alongside their human, giving him massages while purring and comforting his so-called “mortal enemy” and dog best friend.
Honestly, it’s absolutely adorable and sincerely restores our faith in the world.
