Dani Busboom Kelly expressed her thoughts as the Nebraska volleyball team prepared to face USC on November 16, 2025, at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. The former Husker reflected on the team’s impressive unbeaten streak and shared that the Huskers would get a day off following a hard-fought match against UCLA.

Despite this setback, the Huskers quickly adjusted and executed their strategy effectively to clinch the victory with a final score of 25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-15. The match took place in front of a fully packed stadium, where Busboom Kelly praised her team for staying calm and taking charge during the critical moments.
In an on-court interview with journalist Randy Silver, Busboom Kelly shared her thoughts about the upcoming match against USC. She expressed excitement and respect for the opponent, highlighting USC’s strong performances throughout the season.
“Play great. We get a day to rescout them. We had worked on them early in the week. So, looking forward to a really good match. USC is a great team, playing really great right now,” she said (1:14 onwards).
Fans can catch the match live on the B1G Network at 2:00 pm CST on November 16.

### Dani Busboom Kelly Opens Up About Motivating the Nebraska Volleyball Team
In a post-match press conference, Dani Busboom Kelly reflected on the highly competitive nature of NCAA volleyball and the challenges of maintaining dominance throughout a demanding season. She shared her approach to motivation, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that players enjoy the game without succumbing to stress and burnout.
“It is really tough to win, no matter what level, what sport, and we never want to lose sight of that, and that’s something that I have always been a firm believer in. I also am a firm believer that we spend a lot of our time together and a lot of our time with our sport, and if we can’t enjoy and celebrate the little things then we are going to drive ourselves crazy. That’s when burnout comes in,” she explained.
Furthermore, Busboom Kelly highlighted the significance of creating an environment that fosters growth while making players feel comfortable and at ease.
Her leadership not only focuses on winning but also on building a supportive team culture that promotes both performance and well-being.
