How the Special bar works in Kirby Air Riders The special bar appears just under the large gauge that shows your speed in the bottom right corner of the screen. It will slowly fill up passively while you are playing a race or challenge. To speed that process up, it will fill faster as you take damage or do damage to other riders. Where things get tricky is that, once full, you have just 10 seconds to use the bar as it quickly depletes. If you don’t use your special in time, you need to refill that bar all over again.
