On December 10, the Maine Secretary of State released new voter registration data. Maine doesn’t update registration tallies very often, making this the first update since the February 8, 2025 tally.
The new registration percentages are as follows:
– Democratic: 33.94%
– Republican: 29.73%
– Green: 3.60%
– Libertarian: 0.66%
– Independent and other: 32.08%
By comparison, the percentages in February 2025 were:
– Democratic: 34.27%
– Republican: 29.87%
– Green: 3.62%
– No Labels: 1.65%
– Libertarian: 0.59%
– Independent and other: 30.00%
Since the February tally, No Labels has removed itself from the ballot, and all its registrants have been converted to independents. This change has contributed to the increase in the independent and other category in the latest data.
