Ciara Knight scored a game-high 20 points to lead Bordentown to a 47-35 victory over Moorestown Friends in a BCSL Freedom Division matchup held in Bordentown. The win extends Bordentown’s record to 13-2 and their winning streak to two games, while maintaining their hold on first place in the division with a perfect 7-0 league record.
Knight dominated inside the paint, converting eight two-point field goals and adding four free throws on seven attempts. Her strong performance was complemented by Addison Dziubak, who contributed 14 points, including two 3-pointers for Bordentown.
For Moorestown Friends, Yuri Wallace led the effort with 11 points, including three 3-pointers, but the Foxes’ two-game winning streak came to an end. Mariana Wilson added nine points, going 5-for-12 from the free throw line.
The game started slowly, with the first quarter ending with Moorestown Friends leading 5-4. However, Bordentown took control in the second quarter, outscoring the visitors 20-10 to take a 24-15 halftime lead. The home team extended their advantage with a strong 17-11 performance in the third quarter. Although Moorestown Friends outscored Bordentown 9-6 in the final period, it wasn’t enough to close the gap.
Madison Madeya also contributed six points for Bordentown. With the loss, Moorestown Friends falls to 12-7 overall and 4-3 in the Freedom Division, remaining in fourth place. Bordentown stays atop the division standings, continuing their pursuit of a championship run.
