A powerful car bomb exploded outside the Frontier Constabulary (FC) headquarters in Quetta, Pakistan, on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of 10 people and injuring over 32 others, officials confirmed. Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar warned that the death toll could rise further, according to a report by Dawn.

The explosion was so powerful that it was heard across Model Town and neighboring areas, shattering windowpanes of homes and commercial buildings.

### Attack Details

Authorities reported that four attackers were involved in the incident. According to police, the assailants arrived in a car, exited the vehicle, and engaged in an intense shootout with military personnel before detonating the vehicle.

Local news channels and CCTV footage captured the moment a car stopped in front of the paramilitary compound’s entrance, followed by a loud explosion and gunfire.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack and stated that security forces returned fire, killing all four assailants.

### Medical Response and Emergency Measures

Following the blast, an emergency was declared at Civil Hospital Quetta where most of the injured were rushed. BMC Hospital and the Trauma Center also initiated emergency protocols under orders from Health Minister Kakar and Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman.

Doctors, nurses, and paramedics were immediately called to duty across these facilities to treat the victims.

### Official Statements

“Terrorists cannot break the nation’s resolve through cowardly acts, and the sacrifices of our people and security forces will not go in vain,” said Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti.

### Ongoing Investigation

Rescue teams and police secured the site as an investigation into the attack continues. A senior police officer confirmed that inquiries are ongoing.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing yet. However, separatist outfits in Balochistan, such as the banned Baloch Liberation Army, which have targeted civilians and security forces in their independence campaign, are suspected.

Authorities remain on high alert as they pursue leads in this tragic attack that underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region.
