A person is currently in the hospital following a shooting that occurred on Tuesday night in Wake Forest.
According to a spokesperson for the town, the incident took place near the 5500 block of Mill Dam Road, close to Winter Jasmine Lane. Emergency responders transported one individual to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The spokesperson informed WRAL News that a suspect in connection with the shooting is now in custody.
Officials emphasized that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
