MANILA, Philippines — The Social Security System (SSS) officially launched the MySSS Card, a new card that serves a dual function: as an official ID and as a debit card.

SSS President and CEO Robert Joseph De Claro announced that the MySSS Card will replace the long-standing Unified Multi-Purpose Identification (UMID) card.

In addition to being a valid identification card, the MySSS Card will also operate as a fully functional debit card linked to the cardholder’s account, providing more convenience for SSS members.
