**Cyber Experts Warn Against Cyber Fraud in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar**
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Cyber fraudsters are increasingly duping common people through messages promising quick money or attractive advertisements. According to cyber experts and national award winner in the cyber awareness sector, Dr. Dhananjay Deshpande, the main factor behind such scams is the greed of individuals. He emphasized that the only way to stay safe from cybercrimes is to avoid falling prey to the lure of unknown schemes.
Dr. Deshpande shared these insights during a special workshop on cyber crimes organized by the Registration and Stamp Duty Office here on Wednesday. The workshop was held in response to the rising incidents of fraud, particularly targeting women and senior citizens.
District Registrars V D Gangurde, R B Muley, Ashok Atole, and others were present at the event. The session began with an introductory speech by Sub-Registrar Vijay Bhalerao, followed by guidance on registration and stamp duty procedures from Advocate Sunil Tare.
Highlighting important cyber safety tips, Dr. Deshpande advised people not to respond to calls or messages from unknown numbers. He also warned against clicking on unknown links, as these may contain viruses. Furthermore, he cautioned against sharing identity documents with unknown persons.
He revealed that cyber fraud incidents mostly occur on Friday afternoons when banks are closed for the weekend, making it difficult for victims to seek immediate assistance.
The workshop was attended by officers and employees from the Registration and Stamp Duty offices of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, and Jalna. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by A K Tupe.
