**Supply Department Takes Strict Action Against Irregularities in Grain Distribution**

Amid rising complaints regarding irregularities in grain distribution, the Supply Department has initiated stringent measures to curb malpractices and ensure fair distribution to beneficiaries.

Over the past nine months, the department has taken decisive action by cancelling the licenses of several ration shopkeepers involved in violations. According to official information, eight shopkeepers found guilty of serious malpractice have had their licenses revoked. Additionally, the security deposits of 97 shopkeepers, against whom minor complaints were received, have been forfeited.

Recently, public concern has grown over irregularities in grain distribution. Numerous complaints have highlighted issues such as needy beneficiaries not receiving their entitled grain on time and in sufficient quantities. Addressing these concerns, the Supply Department has stepped up enforcement to safeguard the interests of rightful recipients.

The nature of complaints reported includes:

– Misappropriation of grain
– Deliberate delay in distribution
– Avoiding issuance of receipts to beneficiaries
– Continuous violation of rules
– Sale of government grain in private markets

While the current actions may not be very severe, the District Supply Officer has issued a clear warning. If such complaints persist, stricter measures will be enforced to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution process.

The department urges all ration shopkeepers to adhere strictly to regulations and serve the community responsibly. Beneficiaries are also encouraged to report any grievances to help maintain the integrity of the grain distribution system.
