US firm sues Hexaware for patent breach, seeks $500 million

**American Tech Firm Natsoft and Subsidiary Updraft Sue Hexaware Technologies for $500 Million in US Patent Infringement Case**

BENGALURU — American technology company Natsoft, along with its subsidiary Updraft, has filed a $500 million lawsuit against Mumbai-based Hexaware Technologies in the United States, alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, Hexaware’s flagship modernization platforms—RapidX, Amaze, and Tensai/ATOP—allegedly incorporate Natsoft’s patented technologies without authorization. These technologies cover areas such as automated code testing, business-rule extraction, code generation, and legacy modernization.

The plaintiffs further claim that Hexaware misused confidential information and proprietary technology that had been shared during their prior partnership. Natsoft alleges that Hexaware used this information to develop its own competing platforms, unlawfully benefiting from Natsoft’s technology without paying any licensing fees.

Natsoft stated that it invested $100 million in developing the underlying technologies.

In response, Hexaware issued a statement emphasizing that it believes the complaint lacks merit. “Based on our assessment, the company believes that the complaint is without any merit and is unlikely to result in an adverse order,” Hexaware said in an official filing on Thursday. The company also noted that it does not expect the lawsuit to have any material financial impact.
