**Cybercrime Incidents Reported in Gurugram: Phone Hacking and Talent Scam**
On September 4, a cybercrime incident was reported to the Cyber Crime West police station in Gurugram. Kumar fell victim to a phishing attack when he clicked on a suspicious link out of curiosity. This link allowed cybercriminals to hack into his phone and make unauthorized transactions from his bank account. Soon after, Kumar noticed three unauthorized transactions totaling nearly ₹97,000 had been made before he realized what had happened.
Upon discovering the fraud, Kumar immediately filed a complaint with the Gurugram police. Authorities have since registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.

**Separate Talent Scam Case in Gurugram**
In an unrelated case, a Gurugram couple was duped by a woman posing as a talent scout for a reputed TV advertising agency. The woman, who introduced herself as Anjali, approached the couple outside a restaurant near Ambience Mall. She claimed to be recruiting children for television advertisements and targeted their six-year-old daughter, Pratiksha.
Anjali promised Pratiksha roles in several ads featuring celebrities such as Alia Bhatt and Allu Arjun. Over multiple meetings, she convinced the couple to transfer money for a portfolio album and an ad shoot. The couple ended up paying ₹32,000 for the portfolio and ₹1,00,000 for the supposed ad shoot.
Once they realized it was a scam, the couple filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Unit East. An investigation into this case is currently underway.
