MANILA, Philippines — Alyssa Solomon and defending champion Osaka Marvelous got off to a losing start in the Japan SV.League after falling to Himeji Victorina, 17-25, 28-26, 23-25, 25-22, 15-11, on Saturday at Ookini Arena Maishima.
Solomon, who saw action only in the second and third sets, managed to score just one point off a lone attack attempt. Despite her limited contribution on the scoreboard, the match was a closely contested battle that extended to five sets.
