Packers wide receiver Christian Watson is set to make his 2025 debut. The team activated Watson from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Saturday, marking an important milestone in his recovery.
Watson tore his ACL during the 2024 season but has been practicing for the past two weeks as he works back to full health. Before his injury last year, Watson recorded 29 catches for 620 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games, showcasing his value to the Packers’ offense.
With Dontayvion Wicks ruled out on Friday and Matthew Golden listed as questionable, Watson’s return adds much-needed depth to the wide receiver position ahead of Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In other roster moves, the Packers have elevated defensive lineman Arron Mosby and released tight end Ed Sims. These changes reflect the team’s ongoing efforts to adjust and strengthen their lineup moving forward.
