Democrats Have Lost Their Minds
This time last year, the conversation was about what is the acceptable number of apartment complexes in Colorado that we can tolerate being taken over by Venezuelan gangs of illegal migrants. Now the big issue is the president’s big, beautiful ballroom. The “No Kings” folk are melting down.
In just two days last week, there were 10,000 comments. A typical “recommended” comment from someone calling herself CindyintheSuburbs read: “I can’t wait for the day they hold Trump’s funeral in that gaudy ballroom.” Donald Trump is living inside their heads. If you thought Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) was bad in the president’s first term, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
This time around, it’s morphed into something far more lethal. Like a wounded animal that’s been cornered, electorally challenged Democrats are desperate and dangerous. They make TDS look like a quaint affectation.
In the spirit of “If you can’t beat him, join him,” they’re trying to imitate Trump. But they’re imitating a foul-mouthed, cartoon villain version of a Hitlerian dictator that they have convinced themselves he is.
Newly deranged TDS Redux has become Trump Projection Disorder. Everything they’ve accused him of being, they’ve now become—Nazi tattoos and all.
In Maine, they are running a Senate candidate who had a skull-and-crossbones Nazi death symbol tattooed onto his chest, described himself as an “Antifa supersoldier,” and reportedly recruited and trained members of a far-left paramilitary group, The Socialist Rifle Association, which has links to Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin.
While Democrats and their media handmaidens try to portray Graham “I’m not a secret Nazi” Platner as a plainspoken MAGA-coded “Maine Oyster Farmer,” he’s just the usual sham impersonator. In fact, he is a child of privilege who attended The Hotchkiss School, a boarding prep school in Connecticut where tuition costs more than $75,000 a year.
But the party that launched cancel culture is standing by him. Bernie Sanders says his Nazi tattoo is a distraction: “I think what we have got to do as a nation is not focus on a tattoo,” he told Axios last week.
Sure enough, Platner remains the front-runner in the Democratic primary. The latest polls have him 34 points ahead of Maine governor Janet Mills.
In Virginia, Democrats are running a candidate for state attorney general who said he wanted to murder a Republican lawmaker and his small children. That GOPer is no longer in politics. But Jay Jones is still on the Democratic ticket to be Virginia’s top cop alongside gubernatorial aspirant Abigail Spanberger, who won’t say a bad word about him, let alone disavow his candidacy.
The ex-CIA operative is running against the black Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, and the NAACP is backing the white woman.
In New York, the Democrat most likely to become mayor posed proudly with a radical imam and purported unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing who has called for jihad in “garbage can” America ever since.
Desperate times indeed.
Zohran Mamdani described Siraj Wahhaj as a “pillar” of the community in his social media post. But the Uganda-born democratic socialist has been shedding crocodile tears all week because he caught a little blowback for his embrace of the terror apologist—just 24 years after 9/11 traumatized the city he aims to lead.
“Islamophobia is something that is endemic to politics across this country,” Mamdani complained to MSNBC over the weekend. “And we have seen it normalized. We have seen it accepted.”
Poor Zohran. He aimed a giant middle finger at all the New Yorkers who died on 9/11, but he’s the victim. The only other victim of 9/11 he bothered mentioning was an aunt who he claimed “stopped taking the subway after 9/11 because she did not feel safe in her hijab.”
It’s clear that Mamdani is the future of the Democratic Party. No doubt there are dozens of Zohran clones being cultivated around the country who will be stationed in irredeemably blue cities where they can undermine the country they despise from within.
If that’s not bad enough, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, on her Seinfeldian book tour about nothing, is signaling she may go into politics. Black women are the “backbone” of the Democratic Party, she declared, and they aren’t getting enough attention.
Actually, it gets worse.
Democrats are grooming Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) to run for president in 2028. Unlike Mamdani, AOC once had a real job, albeit briefly, as a bartender. The other night, grandpa Bernie Sanders had to coach her through a 90-minute town hall with a pliable CNN host.
The good news is that she’s clearly not ready for prime time if she can’t handle Kaitlan Collins by herself.
Meanwhile, in Washington, Democrats have shut down the government for almost a month for no reason. They have offered no compromise plan on health insurance, which they belatedly pretend is their justification for denying paychecks to air traffic controllers and SNAP benefits to the poor.
Poor Imitation
As polls turn against them, they pump out F-bombs on TikTok and stand firm in their childish nihilism.
California Governor Gavin Newsom mimics Trump’s uniquely punchy Truth Social posts, complete with Capitalized Words and Exclamation Points!! He even has a merch line, including red hats saying “Newsom was Right about Everything.” It comes across as flattery rather than irony.
Trump offered a wry critique of the Democrats’ copycat efforts last week.
“They are trying so hard and it’s not working,” he said. “They want to imitate me, and they start using foul language, but they use too much of it.
“You can’t use the F-word seven times in one sentence. It doesn’t work. It might work every seven news conferences, but you can’t do it seven times in one sentence. They’re in big trouble, that party.”
Trump’s successes are due to common-sense policies and the courage to carry them out, along with an uncontrollable nature, an iron will, and a knack for comedic showmanship.
Because they refuse to see him for what he is, Democrats are taking the opposite of the right lessons from him. If they keep on this track, they are destined to drive themselves even further round the bend.
