President Trump reportedly told former Vice President Mike Pence that he would “go down as a wimp” during a phone call on January 6, 2021, the day of the Capitol riots.
According to a new book, Trump made the remark while discussing Pence’s decision not to intervene in the certification of the 2020 presidential election results.
“You’ll go down as a wimp,” Trump said to Pence, expressing his frustration over the former vice president’s choice to uphold the constitutional process rather than attempt to stop the certification.
