**Khedkar Case: Bodyguard Reveals Family Left Home After Police Visit**

The investigation into the Khedkar case has taken a new turn with the arrest of bodyguard Praful Salunkhe. According to Salunkhe’s statement to the police, Manorama Khedkar instructed him and Dilip Khedkar to leave their Pune residence following a police visit on September 14. Salunkhe revealed that he and Dilip departed together in a Toyota Land Cruiser, while Manorama left in a separate vehicle.
### Vehicle Recovery and New Developments
Salunkhe further disclosed that Dilip asked their driver to abandon the SUV and go underground. In response, the Navi Mumbai police have tracked the location of the vehicle and are preparing to seize it.
Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the mysterious deletion of CCTV footage from the family’s home. This missing footage is believed to have captured both the Khedkars’ escape and the presence of a truck helper at their residence.
### Arrest of Praful Salunkhe
Praful Salunkhe was arrested in connection with a road rage incident involving the kidnapping and wrongful confinement of a truck helper. He was apprehended on Friday from Sindhkhed in Dhule district and is currently in police custody until September 24, confirmed Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rahul Dhas of the Rabale Division, Navi Mumbai.
### Background of the Case
The case originated from a clash on the Mulund-Airoli Road on September 13 between a concrete mixer truck and the Toyota Land Cruiser. Following the road rage incident, Dilip and Salunkhe allegedly kidnapped truck helper Pralhad Kumar Chouhan and brought him to the Khedkars’ Pune home.
Chouhan was found confined in a watchman’s room with stale food and subjected to threats of extortion. Despite resistance from Manorama Khedkar, the police managed to rescue Chouhan. The accused have been booked under several charges, including kidnapping and wrongful confinement for extortion.
### Additional Legal Issues
Adding to the family’s legal troubles, Puja Khedkar, the Khedkars’ daughter, is facing separate allegations of misusing caste and disability benefits in her UPSC civil services application. The UPSC has filed a criminal complaint, and the Delhi Police have registered an FIR regarding the matter.
ACP Rahul Dhas stated that the police are now preparing to issue lookout notices against Dilip and Manorama Khedkar as the investigation continues.
