**Understanding the Pity System in Duet Night Abyss Cosmetics Gacha**
Duet Night Abyss has famously dropped the traditional gacha system for characters and weapons, instead offering a gameplay experience where players can farm to obtain whatever they wish. However, the game still features a gacha system specifically tied to cosmetics. Many of the fancy skins and unique visual items are unlocked through this gacha, so it’s important to understand the pity system before diving in.
### How the Pity System Works
If you want to acquire some of the skins in Duet Night Abyss, you’ll need to participate in the cosmetic gacha system. The pity system is designed to guarantee rewards within a certain number of pulls, which the game calls “Weaves.”
– **Every 10 pulls:** You are guaranteed at least one purple rarity cosmetic item.
– **Every 90 pulls:** You are guaranteed to receive 25 Iridescent Prisms.
These Iridescent Prisms can then be used to purchase skins.
### Rarity Tiers Explained
The cosmetic items come in three tiers:
– **Green**
– **Purple**
– **Gold** (where Iridescent Prisms are found)
Purple items typically include smaller cosmetics like glasses, hats, masks, or other accessories — these do not count as full outfit sets.
### Important Details About the Pity System
– Every 10 pulls guarantees a purple cosmetic item.
– Every 90 pulls guarantees Iridescent Prisms.
– If you pull a Gold-tier item before reaching 90 pulls, the pity counter resets back to zero.
– The pity system is **unique to each banner** — progress on one banner’s pity count will not affect another.
### How to Access the Cosmetic Banners
You can find the cosmetic gacha banners in the Shop under the **Recommended** tab. The game uses the term “Weaves” for pulls:
– Use a **Prismatic Hourglass** to pull on Event Banners.
– Use **Pristine Hourglasses** to pull on Standard Banners.
Before you pull, check the **Details** tab near the center bottom of the banner screen to view the exact drop rates for each rarity and item type.
### Direct Skin Purchases
Some skins are also available for direct purchase in the shop. To see if the characters you use have any skins available to buy directly, visit their **Cosmetic** section in the Armory. This section often provides a quick link to the relevant shop page.
