Raider Hatches: Alternative Escape Routes in Topside
Raider Hatches are one of the few ways players can extract from Topside. These are literal hatches in the ground that require a key before you can access them. However, for some players, the first time they’ll hear about these escape methods is during the quest Hatch Repairs.
Where to Find a Raider Hatch
Raider Hatches are marked on the map by a white square with a dark arrow pointing into a circle. They are often found further out from main locations and act as alternative escape routes back to Speranza.
The easiest Raider Hatches to find are on the Dam Battlegrounds map:
- Pump House Hatch – to the northeast
- Red Lakes Hatch – to the east
- Gold Old Baron’s Hatch – to the southwest
- Sunroof Hatch – to the northwest
Completing the Hatch Repairs Quest
For the Hatch Repairs quest, approach any Raider Hatch and look for the repair prompt. Interact with the hatch to fix it and complete the mission.
Keep in mind, unless you have a Raider Hatch Key, you won’t be able to use the hatch to escape. In that case, you’ll need to turn around and use another method to get back to Speranza.
