With the year rapidly coming to a close, it’s time for one more Hearthstone expansion for 2025. The Year of the Raptor takes a stroll through the ages with **Hearthstone: Across the Timeways**, a set that’s all about messing with the fabric of time.
The latest expansion adds 145 cards across all 11 of the game’s classes and features some new mechanics, including the intriguing new **Rewind** keyword. Across the Timeways is set to arrive today, which means it’s time again to take a look at some decks from Hearthstone’s most recognizable pros and streamers.
Shacknews had a chance to play against some of these decks during the recent Hearthstone Theorycrafting session. While I didn’t have a lot of success, I did have a lot of fun and was able to pick up some valuable intel on this new set. Let’s check out some deck ideas to help you get through the first day of this new expansion.
Without further delay, here are some decks worth trying out on day one of Across the Timeways.

### Clark Hellscream’s Location Druid
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Construct Pylons
– 2x Innervate
– 2x Waveshaping
– 2x Story of Barnabus
– 1x Elise the Navigator
– 2x Zin-Azshari
– 2x Scrapbooking Student
– 1x Artanis
– 1x Zilliax Deluxe
This Druid deck sneaks up on players if they’re not careful. How do I know this? Well, see this hapless Patron player that Clark has queued up against twice? Yeah, that’s me. I took my foot off the gas, thinking I had things well in hand, not realizing that the buffed-up Zin-Azshari location could hit for an obscene amount in a single turn by doubling the stats of a minion on board. Yes, that includes the Protoss minions that have Charge.
Once your Zin-Azshari is buffed up, make a copy of it with Scrapbooking Student and you’ll suddenly be in a prime spot for a one-turn kill. There’s a good chance the opponent won’t even see it coming. I sure didn’t.

### Warshack’s Midrange Hunter
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Quel’dorei Fletcher
– 2x Slumbering Sprite
– 2x Wound Prey
– 2x Jungle Gym
– 2x Untimely Death
– 1x Ranger General Sylvanas
– 1x Ranger Captain Alleria
– 1x Ranger Initiate Vereesa
– 2x Nightmare Lord Xavius
– 2x Past Silvermoon
– 2x Devious Coyote
– 2x Ankylodon
Hunter has more than aggro tools at its disposal. There are handy midrange cards looking to prove more valuable than ever before, like Ankylodon and Devious Coyote. Played with the new Untimely Death Secret, these minions pop back up if the opponent removes them the next turn.
The more of the Windrunners that see play, the more potent their effect becomes. Try to find them quickly with tools like Portal Vanguard.

### Christian’s Dragon Warrior
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Darkrider
– 2x Giftwrapped Whelp
– 2x Shadowflame Suffusion
– 2x Shield Block
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu
– 2x Ancient of Yore
– 1x Chemical Spill
– 1x Chrono-Lord Epoch
– 1x Lo’Gosh, Blood Fighter
– 1x Broll, Blood Fighter
– 1x Valeera, Blood Fighter
The Warrior’s fabled Legendaries require reaching 7 Mana to play them, which isn’t always easy in an aggro-focused meta. Fortunately, this deck includes enough control tools and lower-cost Dragons to keep it in the game until the big hitters like Lo’Gosh, Broll, and Valeera come online.
Once played, these Legendaries not only hit hard, but their Deathrattles summon buffed-up versions of the others, making removal tricky.
Chemical Spill on Turn 5 can help get these cards online sooner. Another MVP is Chrono-Lord Epoch, which can erase any minions played by the opponent in the last turn, potentially swinging the game in your favor.

### Brigitteous’ Nature Shaman
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Static Shock
– 1x Lightning Bolt
– 2x Flux Revenant
– 2x Primordial Overseer
– 2x Thunderquake
– 2x Hex
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu
– 1x Farseer Wo
– 1x Muradin, High King
– 1x High King’s Hammer
– 2x Avatar Form
– 2x Stormrook
– 1x Instant Multiverse
– 1x Krag’wa, the Frog
Shaman introduces new Nature spells that affect both opponents and its own minions. This “self-harm” Shaman is surprisingly effective, with minions like Flux Revenant and Stormrook benefiting when hit by Nature spells.
Krag’wa the Frog is a fascinating addition, returning Nature spells to your hand for a quick refresh. Muradin, High King—the new Fabled Legendary—can buff his stats rapidly and threaten to spiral out of control with his powerful returning weapon.

### Nohandsgamer’s Dragon OTK Mage
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Go with the Flow
– 2x Mirror Dimension
– 2x Primordial Glyph
– 2x Arcane Barrage
– 2x Buy One, Get One Free
– 2x Portal Vanguard
– 2x Rising Waves
– 2x Storage Scuffle
– 2x Watercolor Artist
– 1x Alter Time
– 1x Pocket Dimension
– 1x Azure Queen Sindragosa
– 1x Azure King Malygos
– 1x Azure Oathstone
This Mage deck may not have many Dragons, but the few included more than make up for it. The goal is to draw the “Buy One, Get One Free” spell using Watercolor Artist to discount it to zero.
This allows players to create multiple Malygos copies and unleash devastating single-turn combos with Arcane spells.
Drawbacks include the possibility of drawing BOGO spells naturally, but if you achieve the discount, explosive damage awaits. Surviving until then is the biggest challenge in the current aggro-heavy meta.

### Trump’s Handbuff Priest
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Overzealous Healer
– 2x Paltry Flutterwing
– 2x Amber Priestess
– 2x Power Word: Barrier
– 2x Disciple of the Dove
– 2x Divine Augur
– 2x Soldier of the Bronze
– 1x Eternus
– 1x Zilliax Deluxe
– 1x Malorne the Waywatcher
Trump takes a different approach, focusing on handbuff tools introduced in this expansion. Cards like Power Word: Barrier, Disciple of the Dove, and Divine Augur significantly buff minion stats before they hit the board.
If things don’t pan out with minions in hand, the Priest’s various Imbue tools offer reliable fallback options.

### Warshack’s Combo Rogue
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Preparation
– 2x Shadowstep
– 2x Deja Vu
– 2x Dig for Treasure
– 2x Shapeshifter
– 2x The Kingslayers
– 2x Chrono Daggers
– 2x King Liane
– 2x Sonya Waterdancer
– 2x Time Skipper
– 1x Sandbox Scoundrel
– 1x Chrono-Lord Deios
– 1x Incindius
MarkMcKz returns with a meme Rogue deck that requires many working parts to function. The combo revolves around playing Chrono-Lord Deios, Mini Sandbox Scoundrels, Sonya Waterdancer, and Incindius to trigger multiple Battlecry and End of Turn effects.
If executed properly, this leads to massive burst damage. The biggest challenge is surviving long enough to assemble the combo while ensuring your opponent doesn’t have lethal.

### Kris O’ Five’s Bwonsamdi Death Knight
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Morbid Swarm
– 2x Orbital Moon
– 2x Brittlebone Buccaneer
– 2x Blood Draw
– 2x Chillfallen Baron
– 2x Liferender
– 1x Staff of the Endbringer
– 1x What Befell Zandalar
– 2x Husk, Eternal Reaper
– 1x Memoriam Manifest
– 2x Nightmare Lord Xavius
– 2x Sanguine Infestation
– 2x Talanji of the Graves
– 1x Carnivorous Cube
– 1x Corpse Explosion
– 1x Bwonsamdi
– 1x Endbringer Umbra
Bwonsamdi is the gift that keeps on giving, as long as your deck can bring him back repeatedly. Avoid packing Undead minions more expensive than Bwonsamdi himself to maximize the value of Memoriam Manifest.
If Bwonsamdi stays alive over multiple turns, Carnivorous Cube can further recycle him. Should enough Bwonsamdis appear, Endbringer Umbra can activate Deathrattles, swiftly filling the board with powerful minions.

### Zeddy’s Spell Demon Hunter
**Deck Highlights:**
– 1x First Portal to Argus
– 2x Illidari Studies
– 2x Time-Lost Glaive
– 2x Broxigar
– 2x Chaos Strike
– 2x Grim Harvest
– 2x Infestation
– 1x Solitude
– 2x Axe of Cenarius
– 2x Infiltrate
– 2x Insect Claw
– 2x Lasting Legacy
– 2x Paraglide
– 2x Wyvern’s Slumber
– 1x Hounds of Fury
– 1x The Eternal Hold
Zeddy has come around to Demon Hunter with this new gimmick-focused deck. The goal is to activate Portals to Argus and kill resulting demons to summon a 12/12 Charge-fueled Broxigar.
The deck only includes spells and weapons, with cards like Blind Box and Time-Lost Glaive to find minions, while Solitude buffs them.
All of this feeds into The Eternal Hold, which lets you summon one high-cost Demon for free.

### Ozzie’s Rafaam Warlock
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Paltry Flutterwing
– 2x Rotheart Dryad
– 2x Prize Vendor
– 2x Circadiamancer
– 2x Overplanner
– 2x Portal Vanguard
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu
– 2x Whelp of the Infinite
– 1x Domino Effect
– 1x Elise the Navigator
– 2x Griftah, Trusted Vendor
– 1x Hourglass Attendant
– 2x Nightmare Lord Xavius
– 2x RAFAAM LADDER!!
– 2x Ancient of Yore
– 2x Zaqali Flamemancer
– 1x Table Flip
– 1x Timethief Rafaam
– Various Rafaam miniatures (Tiny, Green, Explorer, Warchief, Mindflayer R’faam, Calamitous, Giant, Murloc, Archmage)
I was among the first to notice the many downsides to the Rafaam Warlock deck after seeing Trump play Dirty Rat to rip Timethief Rafaam from the deck at a critical moment. Despite its drawbacks, this deck is incredibly fun, racing to get its win condition online.
Even if the OTK doesn’t pan out, the various Rafaam minions themselves are powerful, offering effects like Polymorphing the board, duplicating themselves, and more.
Buffing these with Nightmare Lord Xavius makes them even more formidable. Don’t dismiss Rafaam until you try him—you might be surprised.
