Tech giant AMD issued its latest quarterly report on Tuesday, showcasing continued strong performance with a record third-quarter revenue figure of $9.2 billion USD—well above analyst estimates.

While the company’s EPS came in line with the whisper number, it exceeded consensus estimates from Wall Street, positioning AMD strongly ahead of January’s Consumer Electronics Show.

“We delivered an outstanding quarter, with record revenue and profitability reflecting broad-based demand for our high-performance EPYC and Ryzen processors and Instinct AI accelerators,” AMD Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su said in the Q3 2025 earnings report. “Our record third quarter performance and strong fourth quarter guidance marks a clear step up in our growth trajectory as our expanding compute franchise and rapidly scaling data center AI business drive significant revenue and earnings growth.”

Breaking down AMD’s Q3 2025 numbers:
– The Data Center sector generated $4.3 billion, up 22% year-over-year.
– The Client and Gaming sector followed closely with $4 billion, reflecting a 73% increase year-over-year.
– Gaming alone, fueled by strong sales of Radeon gaming GPUs and other AMD products, accounted for $1.3 billion in quarterly revenue—an impressive 181% increase compared to the same point in 2024.

Despite these strong results, AMD’s stock closed down $9.60 per share on Tuesday, November 4, though it showed signs of recovery in after-hours trading.

Looking ahead, AMD has set its Q4 2025 revenue guidance at $9.6 billion, with a margin of error of plus or minus $300 million.

It should be noted that neither this quarter’s figures nor the Q4 guidance includes AMD Instinct MI308 shipments to China.

Expect to hear more updates as AMD continues to expand its footprint in the computing and data center AI markets.
