FIVB Men’s World: Nikolov brothers propel Bulgaria into quarters

MANILA, Philippines — Bulgaria has reached the Top 8 in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship for the first time in 15 years.

On Monday, the Bulgarian team secured their spot in the quarterfinals by defeating Portugal with a convincing 25-19, 25-23, 25-13 victory at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Bulgarians continued to make history, led by the dynamic duo of brothers Aleksandar and Moni Nikolov, as they advanced to the next stage of the tournament.
