One of the biggest games of the weekend is **Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment**. This action-packed spin-off of *The Legend of Zelda* explores the era before *Tears of the Kingdom*, and it’s a premise that has the Shacknews staff excited—especially now that TJ’s review is in.

This got us asking each other, and now asking you, the readers: **Who will be your main for Age of Imprisonment?**

### Shack Chat: Who is Your Main for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment?

**Zelda**
*Ozzie Mejia, Senior Hyrule Warrior*
I’m a little surprised the rest of the staff didn’t choose the Princess of Hyrule, especially considering how much fun everyone had playing as Zelda in last year’s *Echoes of Wisdom*. She has a completely different arsenal this time around, but that doesn’t make her any less resourceful or powerful. I’m ready to go from throwing stools and beds to slicing through legions of foes in a single swing.

**Mineru**
*TJ Denzer, Stans an Unbothered Queen of Machines*
Players are in for a treat with Mineru, especially if they didn’t make it to the end of *Tears of the Kingdom* to see what she’s capable of. In ancient Hyrule, Mineru was the Sage of Spirit and Hyrule’s foremost expert on Zonai technology and history.

Her combat style is a grab-bag of insane combos using fused Zonai devices. I’m pretty sure much of the inspiration for her weaponry came from the wild Zonai constructs players created in *Tears of the Kingdom*. She’s incredibly fun to play.

Mineru carries the aura of Rauru but with a confident intellect that makes her haughty, to say the least. Her unbothered vibe, combined with letting her machines do the talking in battle, makes Mineru my easy favorite in combat and style.

**Rauru, the First King of Hyrule**
*Asif Khan, Beat The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*
While I’m intrigued by the prospects of playing as the “Mysterious Construct” and Zelda, I’ve wanted to play as Rauru ever since he was introduced in *Tears of the Kingdom*. Rauru is a badass leader with that sweet Ultrahand ability.

There are many great character choices to main in *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*, but I choose the OG.

**Mysterious Construct**
*Sam Chandler, Mystery Man*
Having a character with “Mysterious” in their name instantly piques my interest. I’m already thinking about the lore implications and why this entity is labeled as such.

My headcanon is that this might be some form of Link—either transformed into a Construct or designed based on the Hero of Time. I can’t wait to dive in, carve up some baddies, and hopefully uncover more about this enigmatic being.

**The Goron, Agraston**
*Steve Tyminski, Rock On!*
Who is my main for *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*? I think I have to go with the Goron, Agraston.

I love playing as Yunobo in *Tears of the Kingdom*, rolling him into enemies. From the videos on the *Age of Imprisonment* site, Agraston is large, in charge, and uses his power for some crazy results.

In this type of game, enemies can overwhelm you quickly if you’re not prepared, so having attacks that cover large areas for massive damage is a great way to counter.

Though I’m also curious about what Sonia, Mineru, Calarmo, and the Mysterious Construct can do in combat, I’m starting out with the Goron, Agraston.

So, who will you main in *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*? Let us know in the comments!
