RUSTON, La. (AP) — Avery Thomas led Louisiana Tech with 18 points off the bench to power the Bulldogs to a dominant 93-35 victory against Lyon on Sunday. Thomas also contributed eight rebounds in the game, helping Louisiana Tech improve to 1-1 on the season.
Kaden Cooper added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs, while Jaylen Fenner finished with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Fenner scored 14 of his points in the second half.
Lyon was led by Kenneth Brown, who posted nine points.
Louisiana Tech took control early, taking the lead for good with 19:18 remaining in the first half. The Bulldogs led 48-22 at halftime, with Thomas already tallying 16 points.
In the second half, Louisiana Tech extended its lead to 73-22, highlighted by an impressive 25-0 run that sealed the game.
