Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of those rare games that feels like it has been around forever. In reality—and somewhat shockingly—Warhorse Studios’ Bohemia-based role-playing game was released only in February of this year. Our own Sam Chandler gave the game a glowing review, and since then, it has been supported by two excellent DLCs of differing scale and scope.
The first, *Brushes with Death*, focused on a heartfelt story quest, while *Legacy of the Forge* introduced a new home and business for Henry, allowing him to follow in his father’s footsteps as a blacksmith. It has been an excellent run, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 firmly holding its place alongside other big hitters in this year’s Game of the Year conversations.
But does the latest DLC, *Mysteria Ecclesiae*, keep the quality flowing? This final DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 carries high expectations as the cherry on top of a rather wonderful cake.

### A Dangerous Mystery at the Monastery
In *Mysteria Ecclesiae*, Henry finds himself entangled in a perilous mystery unlike any he has faced before. He is asked to accompany King Wenceslaus’ physician, Albich, to a monastery to aid him in any way possible. Upon arrival, they discover that the monastery has been struck by a mysterious illness, sparking fears that it might be the plague.
While Albich and others tackle the difficult task of helping those afflicted, Henry must explore the monastery, delve into the lives of its residents, and uncover dark secrets and sins that no one wants revealed.

### A New Setting: Sedletz Monastery
This DLC takes place on a brand-new map dedicated solely to Sedletz monastery. From the moment you begin, you remain within this setting until the adventure concludes—there’s no diving in and out of the main game map until you’ve wrapped up the story here.
The monastery offers a distinct atmosphere. Upon arrival, all your armor and weapons are taken from you because King Sigismund of Luxembourg currently resides there. Resources become scarce, and your survival depends on adapting to these new constraints.
The monastery itself is beautifully and authentically designed. Dominated by a massive chapel, it provides spaces where monks live, eat, and pray, along with grounds for growing food. Vast cellars stretch underneath, filled with nooks and crannies to explore.

### New Characters, Deep Conversations, and Meaningful Choices
One of the standout features of *Mysteria Ecclesiae* is its rich cast of new characters. You’ll interact with many people, trying to unravel the mystery while making friends—and enemies—along the way. Trust becomes a crucial currency, and figuring out who is trustworthy is a constant challenge.
As longtime fans of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will know, conversations here are deep, heartfelt, and often quite funny. Henry remains the star of the show, offering players ample opportunity to develop his character through various dialogue routes.
More importantly, the game encourages you to play Henry as a caring and thoughtful individual. Quests and side missions often focus on the everyday lives of the monastery’s inhabitants, allowing you to express genuine concern for their struggles despite the rigid social structure surrounding them.
Earning people’s trust is rewarding, but playing through story missions in ways that make you worthy of that trust is even better.

### Plenty of New Content to Discover
Beyond the story and characters, *Mysteria Ecclesiae* adds an array of new content for players to find and use. This includes a new sword, armor pieces, and a special mask. You can also brew new alchemical potions and discover skill books hidden throughout the monastery.
These additions offer plenty to explore and carry forward into the main game, enhancing the overall Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 experience.

### A Fitting Conclusion to Henry’s Adventure
*Mysteria Ecclesiae* serves as a fitting final chapter in Henry’s journey, delivering choices that truly matter, plenty of fun, and a healthy dose of mystery. It can be played at any point during your run through Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, making it accessible for all players.
Once again, the DLC proves that Henry is one of the best protagonists in gaming right now. A man born a peasant but lucky enough to see more of the world than most, Henry never stops hoping for the best for those around him.
The only downside? *Mysteria Ecclesiae* marks the end of the line for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Now all we can do is wait and hope for a third installment that can capture the same level of fun, intrigue, and heart that Warhorse Studios has delivered in this one.
