How to Complete the Flickering Threat Quest in ARC Raiders
Flickering Threat and other later-game quests in ARC Raiders can be challenging if you’re not prepared to venture into high-threat locations and search for specific items or objects to interact with. Fortunately, these quests usually don’t take too long once you know what to look for. Below, we provide all the details you need to successfully complete the Flickering Threat quest.
Step 1: Repair the Generator
To begin Flickering Threat, head to the western portion of the Power Generation Complex on the Dam Battlegrounds. Your first task is to repair a generator and then turn on the power at a nearby ventilation shaft.
While this might sound simple in theory, the Power Generation Complex is a high-traffic area often patrolled by a Rocketeer and a support ARC, which adds to the challenge.
For the first step, make your way to the westernmost section of the Complex. Enter through the door located beneath the upper platform near the stairs. Once inside, go through the door directly opposite you, continue down the hallway, pass through another door, descend the stairs, and then enter the door on your left.
Now inside the generator room, proceed left past the first generator. Interact with the glowing yellow pipes on the second generator to begin repairs. Note that you must have at least four Wires in your inventory to complete this repair phase.
Once the generator is repaired, you complete the first phase of the quest.
Step 2: Turn on the Power at the Ventilation Shaft
Next, return to the surface and locate a nearby broken ventilation shaft. The power switch you need to activate is located underneath the stairs inside this shaft.
The easiest way to find the ventilation shaft is to head east from the North Complex Elevator extraction point. Look for the tall building with a broken roof — that’s your destination.
When you arrive, be cautious and try to avoid encounters with the Rocketeer. Enter the ventilation shaft, head down the stairs, and find the power switch. Flip the switch to restore power.
Activating the switch completes the Flickering Threat quest.

- Ensure you have at least four Wires in your inventory before starting the generator repair.
- Move stealthily to avoid or minimize combat with the Rocketeer and other enemies.
