Players have flocked back to the Ghost series in droves. Sony recently reported that the sequel to *Ghost of Tsushima*, *Ghost of Yotei*, has sold more than three million units in just a single month.
On November 10, 2025, Sony released its Q2 2025 earnings report, taking a moment to highlight the impressive success of *Ghost of Yotei*. The game sold 3.3 million units in the 32 days following its release, marking a strong start for the sequel.
While there is no direct comparison, it’s worth noting that *Ghost of Tsushima* launched on July 17, 2020, and by November 11, 2020, it had sold 5 million units. At that time, the PlayStation 4 had been on the market for seven years, whereas the PlayStation 5 celebrated its five-year anniversary this month.
The Q2 FY2025 earnings report also revealed that the PlayStation 5 has now reached a lifetime sales figure of 84.2 million units, underscoring the console’s continued popularity.
*Ghost of Yotei* released to high praise from critics and players alike.
