Say what you want about cats and dogs being mortal enemies, but there is just too much adorable proof online that begs to differ.
Take, for example, a cat named River. This feline is best friends with a senior dog named Oakley. Once their human started giving Oakley daily massages for physical therapy, River quickly took an interest.
He was always watching and comforting Oakley, sensing that the massages didn’t always feel very good. River could detect the discomfort in his old friend and seemed to say to their human, “Move aside, you’re doing it wrong!”
Now, River helps tend to Oakley (along with their human) by giving him massages while purring and comforting his “mortal enemy” dog best friend.
Honestly, it’s absolutely adorable and truly restores our faith in the world.
