Say what you want about cats and dogs being mortal enemies, but there is just too much adorable proof online that begs to differ.
Take, for example, a cat named River. This cat is best friends with a senior dog named Oakley. Once their human started giving Oakley daily massages, River quickly became interested.
He would always watch and comfort Oakley during these sessions. Since the massages were for physical therapy reasons, they didn’t always feel very good for Oakley. River could sense his old friend’s discomfort and seemed to say to their human, “Move aside, you’re doing it wrong!”
Now, River tends to Oakley alongside their human, giving him massages while purring and comforting his “mortal enemy” dog best friend.
Honestly, it’s absolutely adorable and truly restores our faith in the world.
